If this were to be ordered for me. The lab would be told. A catheter would be placed to facilitate the drawing process. No matter the doctor's orders, without the catheter placement this test wouldn't be done because I wouldn't tolerate that many sticks in one day. Neither could my emotions deal with it.

newbirth35, is this dangerous? I am getting this in 2 months time. Can I die or am I being silly?

No, you won't die from it. :) I was dx'ed hypoglycemic because my blood sugar dipped as low as 30 in hour 3, but even then I was walking and talking. They do recommend staying in the lab waiting room the whole time in case you do faint or something, but those instances are rare.

Nothing to be scared of. You'll feel crappy for a while, but you'll be okay in the end. :)
