@Magmanik - Yeah you're right. I agree- was really just taking the piss! This isn't my favourite magma by any stretch though- and I can imagine it'd be a lot more confronting for newcomers than some other 'eras'.

Senseitre, you're close--but think black church. Magma's music is full of spiritual testimonials and drop-down pass-out ecstasy. It's gospel meets futuristic minimalism meets primitve chant meets classical chorales meets complex jazz fusion.
