A few years back I was asked to reconstruct a face based on a skull found in York. using Photomodeller and a lot of research and hard work - this was the result. First the photographs of the skull were modelled in 3D with hundreds of points, then the thickness of soft tissue added - finally a 'skin' was stretched over the model and hair added. It was truely exciting to meet her face to face after nearly 2000 years.
this was a bit of a rush job.. so there was some slight artistic licence. as the time limit on the reconstruction was tight.
the chin is perhaps too pronounced.. for the mandible structure.
well spotted..!

Good video as I am very interested in historical facial reconstruction.
I wish the video was longer and went into more detail about the process.
A face to face view of the reconstruction would have also been nice.
