Sooner or Later - Chapter 30

Chapter 30:

I walked upto her and tapped her shoulder. "Hey, Adrianna. Just wondering what the heck you are doing?!" I raised my voice. "Oh, hey Beth. What are you doing here? I thought you'd be with Nick trying to make him yours." She threw back.

"Atleast i don't cheat on my boyfriends. What the heck are you thinking?" I asked her. "Oh, whatever. I don't even care. It's not like Nick will find out." She retorted. "Erm, news flash. I'm kind of going to tell him." I told her.

"Like Nick will believe you. He's too hung up on me. Who's he going to believe? The petty little girl who's infatuated by Nick and wants him to be hers but he can't see her. Or me, The girl he's madly in love with?" She asked.

She was right. All them things she said was right. Nick won't ever believe me because he's to hung up and madly in love with Adrianna. Even though i've been his best friend for years he still wouldn't believe me because she's got him under some little spell.

"Well, i'm going. You're freaking me out, gawking at me." She told me. "Good luck on convincing Nick what i did. He won't believe you." She blew a kiss, winked at me and
walked away. Ugh! I wanted to chase after her and yell in her face but i don't think that would result in any good.

I walked back over to Mia who was standing in the back overlooking mine and Adrianna's conversation. "I hate her." Mia simply said as i approached her. I let out a small laugh and then looked down. "It's not fair." I said. "It never is." She replied. "C'mon, let's go back to yours and watch some movies." She linked my arm. I smiled as she walked next to me.

I wanted to tell Nick. I need to tell him. I just know he won't believe me. "Hey! Stop thinking about it and concentrate on the movie." Mia nudged my arm knowing i was thinking about the situation. "I can't help it." I said, my voice small. "I know it's hard but what can you do?" She asked.

"I know! It's just i really want to tell Nick but she has the upper hand." I told her. "Want to tell Nick what?" I heard at the door. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of Nick. "N nick, what are you doing here?" I asked him. "Well, i though i'd pop by as i saw you come back from shopping and i was bored so .. here i am." He flashed a smile that made me melt on the inside. "Here you are." I whispered.

"So, what do you want to really tell me?" He asked taking a seat next to me and wrapping his arm around my shoulder, creeping. "I-i wanted to tell you that .. that i'm doing a show at the schools gig night." I blurted out. Crap. I wasn't even going to tell him. "That's awesome, Beth! I will definitely be there." He smiled. "Really?" I acted out. "Of course! You're my best bud!" He playfully punched my arm. Best. Bud. Yep. And that's all we will ever be. I sighed mentally.

Hmm. Will Beth ever tell Nick?
