The AGM-62 Walleye is a television-guided glide bomb which was produced by Martin Marietta and used by the United States armed forces during the 1960s. Most had a 250 lb (113 kg) high-explosive warhead, some had a nuclear warhead. The designation of the Walleye as an "air-to-ground missile" is something of a misnomer, as it is an unpowered bomb with guide avionics, similar to the more modern GBU-15. The Walleye was superseded by the AGM-65 Maverick.

  • @SMJeOma No, it did not. The aim point is always on a spot near the target, because the fuse had to have enough kinetic energy to detonate. I was an aviation ordinance in the USN and we had whole magazine dedicated just for this weapon. There are also fuse packages that can detonate at a preset height over the ground, or a delayed fuse that will wait for the weapon to lance a few feet before detonation. Also, it has a shaped warhead that directs the energy in a specific way.
