  • I have always liked Filipino food. I had the pleasure of spending my Christmas in Cebu. I ate good!

  • wow they got chicken balls he shudve tasted "squid balls" taste gud too. i luv it whn he said "tapioca balls" thats "Ta-ho" lol goodness i miss the authentic pinoy food!!!!!

  • @NicoleTirona Talk to him? About what? We already talked and he thinks I should come out there. Did you miss that part? :)

  • @buyerofsorts : I suppose. Still, I suggest you talk to your friend first.

  • @buyerofsorts That was a joke. (Though still true, hehe.) Sometimes the husband can make it impossible for the wife to leave. But I guess there comes a tipping point when the wife can no longer stand it -- hurray for her if she's able to get out of a miserable relationship.

  • @NicoleTirona Ok, so let me get this straight. If I"m cruel to my new wife, I'll have the entire family praying that I die. Hmm... Well I did plan on being cruel but now I might just have to rethink that.... But tell me, if a man was cruel to his wife, can't she just leave? I know divorce is not done much with the Philippine race but still...

  • @NicoleTirona Well I guess I am shopping in a sense. Everyone shops when it comes to love and relationships right? :)

  • @buyerofsorts Also, do remember that there are *still* a lot of Filipinas who come from conservative, old-fashioned families and an "arrangement" such as the one you described might be too unconventional for them. We are also very clannish. So if you fail to treat your Filipina wife well, if you're cruel to her, expect pretty much her whole clan to pray for your slow and painful demise :) And trust me, Filipinos are a religious lot - we pray very well, and very often :))

  • @buyerofsorts : It's not as easy as that - you make it sound like you're shopping :)) I've heard of both horror stories and happy ones when it comes to such arrangements so I suggest you touch base *first* with your friend who's married to a Filipina :)

  • @NicoleTirona Thank you. Well, I know a guy that lives in the Philippines and hes married to a nice Philippina girl. He highly reccomends that I come out there to meet someone and move her back here to Arizona with me. He says theres a lot of lovely girls out there with good attitudes who appriciate when a man is good too them.

Is what he says basically true? Do you know what I mean?
