What a fantastic little accessory, the Palm Radio Peg Leg for the Yaesu FT-817.
It lifts the front of radio to make the display a lot easier to read so I think well worth the money.
The legs are made from stainless steel and well engineered from good quality materials.. no cheap components!
Also the spares included in this kit make it a solid 10/10 from me

  • I thought they were standard, I hope my 857D that I just ordered has them.

  • @peterkim1999 I'm afraid not, I don't think the 857d has holes to fit them either.

The 897 has a nice folding bar to prop the front up.

  • Hello Mark,

nice video, but you DO have the legs reverted. Note the cut-out on one of the legs (should be on the right hand side if you face the display), it is supposed to match the Mike-jack and hence definitely on the wrong side of your radio.

Anyhow, have fun with your FT-817 and the cool little legs...

  • @Bluesmother Hi there

You are 100% correct... 21stCenturyNazzler spotted it, I hadn't noticed.

A quick fix and it was done as it should be .

    All the best

  • I love the peglegs on my 817.

Nice video but, haven't you put the legs on the wrong side? The leg with the cutaway to accommodate the mic socket is on the side without the mic socket. That said, still a great video.

  • @21stCenturyNazzler Well spotted! 73

  • Nice video.. they where recommended to me by another 817 user but I was worried about the legs scraping against the case. From the video I see there are washers to keep them just apart. Thanks!

  • Well done Mark!

  • Fantastic Rig too!! It's a pretty toy, congratulations. 73 Good DXs.

  • Nice vid... Keep up the good work

  • where did you buy?
