Hitting a big man on his arm during a power dunk will not be called like hitting kobe on his arm on a 3 point try. It TECHNICALLY should be called evenly but the game wouldn't be as fun to play or watch that way. At the end of the day, if the rules are all in all fair. It's up to the players to adjust. If they legalized travelling, defence would be crippled, but not just for one team, for BOTH teams, players would adjust but people would stop watching games lol

If the rules instead were like

"A small quick player can be slapped because he's too quick to guard but a big man cannot be slapped because that wouldn't be fair. This will level the playing field between Jordan and all other players."

That would be injustice. This happens JUST A BIT today in the case of guarding a post player ONLY WHEN his back is to the defender. You're allowed two arms them (i think), but NOT if they face up and drive.

The interview i'm talking about, jordan uses his hand and clutches a players hip and directs their momentum. illegal tricks, flops, arguing with the referees, etc. If they were allowed to slap jordan, then regardless of size, he could do the same. I never compare the rules from eras cuz for example, is it harder to play without a 3pt line? You can't hit a three to comeback but at the same time, NEITHER can they? Players always adjust and things usually even out.

Isn't it amazing how no matter how much a player elevates his game, the crowd can only get so loud? I know you all were waiting for an erruption after that 6th 3 but the crowd just reached their limit hahahah. It's like players own the crowd in addition to their opponents. That night, jordan took his game about the level of 20 thousand paying fans lol

Dude don't even....especially since you're forgetting one of the key rules about basketball.
"You taketh something away, you equally giveth something away" it's the conservation of options law created by Newton himself lol. If it's easier for the offense, then that means it's harder for the defense suggesting defense is BETTER now. It's like your saying jordan was a good defender because he could slap, punch, bite and get away with anything he wants but kobe can't. Rules change, players adjust!

I don't think you understood me correctly...

Put it this way, Jordan had to be a little guy dealing with bigger guys slapping and chopping away at him - a much more physical game, made it more difficult for quick, scorers.

This isn't just my opinion.

but what about when he guards other players? Does jordan get slapped but he doesn't dish out slaps as well? I do think Jordan was a great defender but suggesting the rules of the game indicate a players abilities i think is silly, players have to adjust. I've seen an interview, i'm sure you have too, where Jordan explains some of the tricks he used using his hands that he hid from the referees. TECHNICALLY those are illegal, but wouldn't you say that's just smart defense

Jordan may or may not have had a dominant big man, but one thing is 4sure, He didn't have the physically most dominant big man to EVER play the game in Shaq. Had he had a Shaq in his prime? my god. Talk about obliterating the league...Literally. By the way, you mention Horace Grant as a dominant big man, i hope you're not some how implying that playing with Horace Grant is or was the same as playing with a Shaquil O'neal on your team.

Jordan didn't zone? You might want to search "Michael Jordan Monster Dunk on Rony Seikaly and the Heat" and pay attention to the commentator when he says "this is a 2-2-1 zone trap" because I think your assuming it wasn't used because it wasn't legal back than but your wrong about Jordan not facing zones.

I totally agree on the argument of who comes closest to MJ (so far, its Kobe... he's an all around skilled player, where lebron can throw his body at/through people.)

I think MJ played in a much tougher era, defensively... making for a tougher game for players like him... and I think that's widely acknowledged.
