The mypressi TWIST recently won the SCAA award for best new consumer product in the category of Coffee or Tea Preparation & Serving Equipment 2009/2010. Attendees to the show had a shorter way of describing it..."wow!"
Well can't say for sure but I'd wager that since the convention is the Specialty Coffee Association of America most people there know real coffee from Charsucks.
Well, i believe they do know about espresso. It just their manner to say "wow, this is fantastic" rather than "I don't think this could replace our barista".
The bottomless shot shows its weakness. Blond extraction. No striping. I bet it would taste sour. Still, got to admire the innovation. Now can you make a hand Mazzer grinder to go with it?
I really wonder how many of those people commenting actually know anything about espresso. This could mean the difference between a "portable Starbucks-type experience" (an easy sell) or something that is genuinely good for all the right reasons. Nonetheless, it definitely has my interest.

Nice. Saw the Atlanta demo and seems to work as good as it looks! Tidy work
