Cost of Living in the Roanoke Region

Moreover, Roanoke is the only metropolitan area out of those cities where housing costs are LESS than the national average (Roanoke MSA: 93.6, U.S.: 100---as of November 2008)! Combine an affordable cost of living and competitive housing prices, you can live where you want AND how you want. Think about it: you can actually take advantage of all the opportunities available in the place you live!

Cost of living and affordable housing is also good for business. Less of your money is spent on utilities, it is less expensive to move your business or expand, and relocating labor is easier because everyone enjoys saving money.
