bundangbear visits the REAL "A Nightmare on Elm Street" House in Potsdam, NY, while he salutes johnswackyworld. Check him out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/johnswackyworld

In 1968, Wes Craven made his first film at this location and other spots in Potsdam called "Pandora experimentia" with some of his Clarkson University college students. The film was a sold out success in Potsdam with standing room only crowds. Craven was the cameraman and part director. He used this film as a demo reel to get into the filming business in new york city after 1970. The film was 45 minutes long. Wes never lived at this location, though he did film here. After Craven's 1984 "Nightmare on Elm Street" was released, this house was nicknamed by locals as "the Nightmare on Elm Street house" because of Craven's first film. The town of Potsdam plans on demolishing this house for a new town hall. bundangbear had special permission to film the inside of the house during a tour for the Potsdam Preservation Society.

  • @SnDkInGz very good, that house is essentially a movie prop. This is, on the other hand, the actual house Wes Craven wrote A Nightmare on Elm Street in.

  • Um .. how is that the nightmare on elm street house ?

wasn't it the house with the red door & the windows covered with metal bars?

  • @lilmissgaga Um, this is the house Wes Craven used as inspiration for the screenplay when he was a professor at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. If you'd listened to the vid, instead of bitching, you'd get that!

  • If I ever got to go in that house, I shit you not, I would come.

  • @XxMissNoNamexX NOW THAT'S HOTT!!
