Nice nice not bad at all.

Did a little research, and those are the weirdest looking speakers I've ever seen.
They sound good...but I can't really tell for sure considering camera mic/my speakers/ect...

What a beauty of a set up,amazing.Quality rules.

Surely there is not enough output from the Quad 33 to drive the Quad 22's. This was the reason years ago that I purchased a Quad 44.

A very nice job of displaying your Quad gear. The styling is timeless.

Lovely set-up you have. I grew up with the 303 and pre-amp but we had Tannoy spkrs. I would love to own a pair of ES's. Thanks for posting.

I agree too. The esl-57 is better on clarity. They diappear more easily from the soundstage. But esl-63 have a wider bandwith. Amazing how Peter Walker made these speakers in the 50's and still hold their ground in an age of very clean music sources like cd and sacd etc.

I have lived with the esl63s since '91. Overall they are better than the '57s and with the Gradient subwoofers I use with them they come exceedingly close to the '57 sound. But to paraphase a reviewer, "nothing, I repeat, NOTHING equals the transparency of a pair of '57s in goodf repair"
I agree. My 63's, although reconditioned by One Audio, do not possess the clarity of presence of my 47's. I wish now I had never sold them :-(
