Every year the American Marketing Association recognizes the most effective marketing campaigns in North America (and across the world) with its Effie Awards. As noted on its website, the Effie Awards honor the most significant achievement in marketing communications: ideas that work. Known by advertisers and agencies globally as the preeminent award in the industry, the Effies recognize any and all forms of marketing communication that contribute to a brand's success. The Effie Awards draw in thousands of campaigns annually from across North America.
This year we decided to join those thousands of Effie entrants to see where our work on behalf of the Montana Office of Tourism ranked with the big dogs. Bolstering our confidence was knowing that the Montana campaign had already won seven national and international awards from the travel industry's top awards programs: the National Council of State Tourism Directors (NCSTD) Awards and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Awards.
