  • so sin, and separation from god, is a necessary element of free will.

sorry this isn't a biblical answer, but there is no biblical answer to this question as you yourself have found.

feel free to add my made up bit of theology to your own beliefs and argue sincerely with anyone who refutes it.

  • i believe that religion is made up, but that empowers me to make up an answer for you.

god wanted to create beings who were different from himself because he was lonely.

angels can only do god's will, and so couldn't choose to love him.

satan can only do the opposite of god's will and so was similarly restrained.

so god created man, with free will to make different choices than god would make that weren't simply the opposite. where man's will deviates from god's is the area called "sin."

  • Here are two possible answers to your question. Think on them carefully; don't reject them outright, and just consider how many inconsistencies in your chosen dogma they may answer.

1)There is no God. Hence, there is no original sin.

2)There is a God, but virtually everything that has ever been written or claimed about God - including that whole "original sin" extortion racket - is wrong.

  • godvsthebible(dot)com - god is real but he didnt write the bible ...real answers are here ladies.... unless your afraid

  • ROM 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--

God did not cause sin but we all sinned "in" Adam. God allows the outworking of this because we live in a moral universe where there is cause and effect. In the same way, God doesn't turn bullets into marshmallows. I hope this helps.
