"Marriage is the union of two different surnames, in friendship and in love, in order to continue the posterity of the former sages, and to furnish those who shall preside at the sacrifices to heaven and earth, at those in the ancestral temple, and at those at the altars to the spirits of the land and grain."

Marriage is primarily an economic vehicle to reward people for getting married and having kids. Look at all of the tax credits, perks, and lower tax rates that married couples receive.
The government can squeeze more tax dollars from married couples with kids in the long run. Same-sex couples can't have kids of their own and won't produce another generation of taxpayers. Therefore, they tax them more to get their "fair share" of revenue over time.

God is as real as a the fact that this world is ruled and governed by an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, and omniscient entity.
He could be real, it`s just that he`s not all that bright and/or does not agree with what humans see as benevolence.
Also, anyone who thinks everyone who supports same sex marriage is homosexual themselves must believe that anyone who supports equal rights for women must be a woman themselves.

i have to admit this would be a good argument
except for one minor detail
god isnt real

SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!
Agreed. I am suffering due to the fact that people make the personal and very private decision to engage in homosexual activity even though it does not affect me and is NONE OF MY , OR ANYBODY ELSE'S FUCKING BUSINESS.
Dammit religion pisses me off.

We've observed homosexuality in everything from giraffes to monkeys to dolphins to penguins. We've observed over 500 species engaging in homosexual activity, many of which have completely monogamous relationships.
So according to you, nature is unnatural...
