August 8, 2010 - Since 2003 Channel One News has had a net loss of 1/3 of its schools. (They had "over 12,000" in 2003; 8,000 in 2010.)
The better secondary schools in the U.S. just don't have time to show their students targeted commercials.

Whats the big deal about commercials? They have to make money somehow to keep on the air, and Im sure the schools alone arent enough. Im sure you arent giving them any money, so they have to reach out to advertising companies. Besides, its not like the commercials are Budweiser or Viagra, they're about books and music. The problem with America (I myself am American) isnt advertising, but self righteous people like yourself - who says you are completely right and what they're doing is wrong?
