Get the inside scoop from the Marks and Spencer fashion insiders. The women's fashion playlist has a collection of trend guides, new ranges and behind-the-scenes footage from press shows and fashion shoots.

So if you're not sure what to wear then calm those pre date nerves and be inspired by Marks and Spencer's selection of outfits, from cute casual to a sexy little red number.

We aired 'The Date' in September 2011, it was the second of two TV adverts after 'The Rendezvous'. As you may have noticed, famous faces are noticeably absent from both ads -- so how did we go about casting the characters?

'We looked at both actors and models, and ended up with a mix,' Steve Sharp, Marks and Spencer executive director, told us. The leading girl who appears in The Date is 33-year-old model Claire Durkin, while 46-year-old actress Charlotte Weston takes up the role in The Rendezvous.

Here's an exclusive peek behind the scenes at the filming of The Date:

'It was all about waiting and seeing who had that magic something'', says Steve. 'We wanted women that our customers could relate to, but who could also bring these scenarios to life -- to really convey the excitement of getting ready.'

Another interesting fact about the adverts is that they were directed by Jordan Scott -- daughter of famous director and producer, Ridley. 'She has an amazing feminine, delicate and sensitive touch to her work, which really helped bring the new ads to life.'

The shoot, thankfully, went without any hitches, although all is not what it seems, as Steve explains: 'While the bedrooms look stunning, they were actually room sets housed in a highly unglamorous, hangar-like studio in deepest West London, off the A4!'

What did you think of our two new ads -- do you have a favourite outfit from either? Or do you have a special Marks and Spencer's outfit for special occasions? Let us know your opinions by commenting below...
