  • They have plenty of room, they are very good climbers and are always moving about. When I had more empty space they would never go out in the open. As for the song, just mute it.

  • nice vid i just don't like the song lol 5*

  • Haha yeah, its not my favorite either but it works :)

  • Your sand should be moist, yes. The best cosistancy is that of sand castle building (like you were at the beach). It should be able to hold shape but not be so wet that water drips from it. I good way to maintain moisture content is misting the sand a few times a week and pouring water into the corners of the tank. As for heat, try and use a heater that emits heat from the top of the tank. Hermit crabs dig down to cool down when its hot and they dont like molting in hot temperatures.

  • @Derek0291 YOU HAVE A 6" TALL CRAB!!

  • Is there a way you can do a tutorial or question videos about setting up hermit crab tanks to have more beautiful stuff like this.

  • Wow that is just amazing crabitat, I don't understand how people put at all that in there without so many complications, i have a 30 gal long tank and i have problems trying to put things in there for them to climb and stuff. I have a lot of stuff i want to use, i just dont know how to put it in there. I wish i knew you in person so you could help me set up my crabitat more. I have 6 hermies and one of them is molting and so far has been down for about a week and half now all doing well :)

  • @webkinzrock4ever Dry . . . that is what I was told by the hermit crab pet owner!

  • okay so i got a weird idea here i have mites and i was thinking that instead of tossing the substrate and stuff in the oven can i just freeze it? like toss it in the freezer for a day?

  • does anyone know any substrates for hermit crabs that won't get mites? i've been using coco husk and i'm tired of getting mites

  • Would you happen to be on HCA?

  • great job!

  • Omg I love your tank! Did it come with the second level or did you have to buy that? If you bought it tell me where you got it! :)

  • that mustve took alot of time and effort to do!!!! good job!!! thumbs up!!!!
