wow! you are soooo lucky your band has such a variety of insrtuments! at my school no one wants to be in band! we have 3 clarinets, 5 flutes including me, about 9 alto saxs, 4 trumpets, 1 baby baritone, 1 french horn, and 2 trombones. :(

I agree on the tempo. I played this in tenth grade in district honor band. It was the first time I'd ever tried out and I made district. I made all-state white and blue my junior and senior year.

I love this song, I played this song under Gary Green's baton three years ago, very nostalgic. The performance overall was pretty great, there were some intonation issues in the clarinets and the horns but over all, the performance was great. And I rather disagree in relation to the tempo

It's so emotional.

I agree, played way too fast. Clarinets, tune it up on the soli, the runs in the woodwinds are overpowered, nice horn at the end, on the high note, the horn needs to be heard over everything at the end, overall, this was O.K.

WAY too fast. tempo is responsible for so much of the power and emotion behind this song. also a bit heavy on the sax, but otherwise good
any faster...alfred reed didnt want it to go that fast it is not ride

I agree it might be a bit too fast, but it still sounds great either way.
