Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS DOS) Prompt
- command prompt window from Accessories
- typing "command" in run dialog box
- type cd to change directory
- "cd.." to go to the parent directory
- root directory
- "dir" to get a directory listing
- "cd windows"
- "dir /w"
- edit file name or just edit
- using the mouse in the MS DOS prompt
- exiting out of the MS DOS prompt

  • I try it but it does not work when you have a partitions it open some documents or files or some pictures but not all I don't know why and specially if you have extra hard drive its also

    does not work just 1% only please need some advise thanks.

  • Is there away to load a new OS on a computer with no OS through DOS mode. I've been trying to load Linux on my old computer but it doesnt have windows or anything, just DOS. If you could help that would be great!
