I know but Peter Raven is also a well known environmentalist. Personally, I see little difference between selective breeding and genetic engineering, except for speed of the changes, the outcomes are can lead to the same extreme. No one has outcries about any other form species domestication, except for genetic engineering. Selective breeding and genetic engineering can both lead the same problems. Either both are bad or both or not.

Etost, I agree with you, that there are plenty of human cultures that are being swallowed up, absolutely. I don't believe machines have culture or conscience. A wide spread culture of mass consumption consumes absolutely, including every diverse and indginous culture, Nearly all have been consumed absolutely by the machines of mass consumption wielded by people.
