There is now no disputing the effects of global warming as evidenced in the melting polar icecap, recently reported as adequately open to allow shipping. Summer Euro/Asian shipping may begin soon, in late summer at least, until the clearing increases.
The greatest concern should be the increased pace of melting of Greenland's icepack, so thick (two miles in places) that its conversion to water will result in catastrophic rising of ocean levels worldwide.
