well done such a hard tune for a banjo player....and only a banjo can play that tune!

Fantastic tune! Have wanted to learn it since ive heard it first time with Barney Mckenna in 1992. Do you know where to find the right notes for this song? I ve search the web and found at least 3 different note pages.

i have to say, i love your style of playing, but i seem to have a different method of playing to you... i usually keep my thumb at the third fret and i use my first three fingers for the first 5 frets, using the little finger for the sixth and seventh frets.

@fizzyc97 Sure, as long as you're not here to be negative. I've been playing the tenor since I was 19, so about six years.

Pretty amazing -- I just started learning this tune and this set the bar about as high as possible I guess. Outstanding and I did not know there were 5 parts. The versions I've heard seem to take the aabb pattern? 5 stars!

Gee, thanks, mando. This is a really great tune, but there's a less elaborate version that's a favorite of fiddle players that DOES just have two parts, so you're not wrong.

Thank you for showing the most beautiful piece of Irish banjo I have ever seen and heard. My goal is to get close and enjoy the Irish Banjo - Perfect!

Wow, that's pretty high praise. At any rate, you're definitely welcome, and post a video of the tune when you've learned it. Slainte!
