An odd thought spawned by too many hours spent watching campy TV shows shouldered its way into consciousness the moment we laid eyes on the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8: This black-as-night bad boy is exactly what a modern-day Batman would drive. With a humongous Hemi engine and a sizeable cargo area perfect for stashing all the latest Bat-Gadgets, there's no question this midsize SUV has got the goods to do superhero service. Add a downright sinister look sure to scare the bejeebees out of even the most colorful criminals and this sporty sport-utility makes the original Batmobile look like Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang.

I just bought one used from the dealer. This Jeep is awesome. I really wanted the new one, but $60K is out of my price range right now, especially since I am getting ready to close on a house. But my God can this Jeep perform or what!!!!!! I was surprised $30K. I checked the Kelly Blue Book myself and sure enough, still worth $30K. The shit is sick though!!!!!!!!

@danglesauce4 Cherokees are crap for 4wd a wrangler or a ford or chevy make good 4wd the rear end drives around the front like rwd and they are tost in the mud or deep snow

This thing is ugly as hell, the only one's I've seen in my area (I live in chicago) are all owned by drug dealers and gang bangers..this ugly jeep can't handle for shit despite what the srt team has done for it , so if you own one I hope you can afford the insurance , this thing is bassicly what you want for "red light races" , which for that reason I guess its worth the cheap sticker..but the insurance and the gas prices I don't think its worth it..maybe if gas was back to 2.50- 3.40 a gallon
