As winter progresses a large flock of redpolls gathers for sunflower seeds at a feeder. The air is filled with continuous chirps and trills. In the background a nuthatch and a raven are heard. Redpolls - Boreal Winter Birds is for relaxation.

  • what were thay feeding on

  • Thanks for your comment. I use black sunflower seeds (also called "sunflower oil seeds") to feed the birds. More info: Blue Jays love peanuts, and goldfinches prefer niger seeds which are much smaller. They also eat the sunflower seeds.

  • It's cute! They look like they are waiting in line to eat.

  • Nice. Love the sounds of birds and that more and more the older I get. You can shut your eyes and almost forget the rat race for a few minutes, anyway. Always rushing...Thanks for posting this.
