it is....my 10 year old gelding (9 at the time) frightened me off for the first two weeks of owning him...so I know what you mean.

Aww... thank you. He was an easy one; he's got a very compliant personality. He's a good boy.

Thank you! Lightning made it easy, though. There's nothing like a good ole' Left Brain Introvert. ::off to watch your video::

great job!! This is definately the best way to start a horse. Parelli has done wonders for me and my horse even within the two weeks I've been doing it. Kudos to you for taking the time to slowly get the horse used to a person on his back....sadly I've seen too many people just saddle up an unstarted horse than jump on and ride out the bucks.
He sure is a looker also! I love the face!!!!

Aww... thank you for the kind comments. It's a lot less intimidating getting on a three-year-old when you've been hugging and laying all over him since he was 15 minutes old. :-) As for his looks, the Friesian/Arabian is a cross which either seems to go spectacularly right or spectacularly wrong-- and my parents obviously lucked out and got the best of both worlds with Night Lightning.
