Directed by Alex Southam, "Tessellate" is a twist on Italian Renaissance painter Raphael's 'The School of Athens', set in a modern day gangster's paradise. The incredible 'Tessellate' will be released on 16 July 2012 through Infectious Music. The track is lifted from their stunning debut album 'An Awesome Wave.'

I think that on of the gamblers is actually the mathematician Euclid, the father of modern geometry. Among other things, he is famous for his work on triangles. :)

In addition the central characters represent Plato - (high minded and conceptual) played here by the black guy in white staring out at us, and Aristotle - (empirical, more interested in what we can experience directly) played here by the woman in the pink dress dancing sexily, trying to get Plato interested in immediate experience.

You are right. If you look at the start there is an image of Raphael's School of Athens that flicks past. Both Plato and Euclid and others are all painted in the picture and laid out in the same way as they are in the video..
