Hola! My self belay device is an unmodified Grigri, and the device I was using to pull upwards with is a 1/4" Rope Ratchet. I no longer use the Rope Ratchet, but instead use Yates adjustable daisies.

is it A1, or is it A4? The way I figure it is this: climbing fixed heads is A1, until they start rippin'. Then it becomes A4 pretty darn fast...
