Sea Shepherd Solidarity Protest NYC against Japanese Whaling and Sinking of the Ady Gil 1-09-10 pt1

In outrage of Japan's attempted murder of six of their activist friends aboard the Ady Gil and Japan's continued killing of whales in a whale sanctuary under the ridiculous guise of "scientific research", New York City activists joined with members of the scallywag bunch of NYC BOB BARKER BRIGADE and protested the Asia Society in frigid and windy conditions.

Activists chose the Asia Society location due to Asia Society's close ties to the nation of Japan, and the night's "Hogaku: New Sounds of Japan" event that was heavilly promoted by the NYC Japanese consulate.

On January 6th 2010, Japanese whalers mercilessly rammed and sunk the Sea Shepherd vessel the Ady Gil in an act of outright terrorism, very nearly killing six activists and injuring one. After shearing the Sea Shepherd vessel in half, the Shonan Maru #2 continued to blast the activists on top of the sinking vessel with water cannons in an attempt to knock them into the ocean to drown. Japan, stop killing dolphins and whales! Stop attempting to murder activists! The attack on the Ady Gil was a blatant act of TERRORISM. Japan, your whaling organization is a terrorist organization, proven with this latest assault! You attempted murder of six people - you smashed their boat to pieces and continued to blast them with water cannons to knock them into the ocean, off of their sinking boat!

Japan has upped the ante with this attack, and New York City supports the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society!

SSCS is *not* a racist organization and has, in its time, campaigned bravely and tirelessly against Norway, Russia, and Canada, to name a few countries. Japanese apologists try to call the Sea Shepherd racist and it is absurd and unfounded. Japanese whale killing apologists don't have a leg to stand on and hope the casual eye will accept this smear campaign.

Until Asia Society expels the nation of Japan, or until Japan stops killing whales and dolphins, activists will be back again and again to protest outside your doors.

A coastal whaling base in Miyagi Prefecture of Japan has been destroyed by the powerful tsunami triggered by 3/11/11's massive earthquake, which washed away their whale-processing facility. In Ishinomaki of Ayukawa on southern Oshika, the tsunami of 10 meters high traveled 600 meters inland. They prospered as a whaling base since opening there in 1906. Feb. 6 2009: "A boat with anti-whaling activists collides with a Japanese whaling vessel in the Antarctic Ocean. No one was injured. Japan is condemning the clash, calling it unforgivable."

Jan. 6 2010: "A Japanese whaling vessel collided with an anti-whaling activists' powerboat. The vessel sunk. There was one injury reported. The Japanese officials have since repeatedly refused to cooperate with investigations over this collision."
