My eyes is very stingy cause of you, my mascara is on my cheeks. Next to me is a little black and white pitbull who I found in Virginia. When animal control told me that if no owner showed up she'd be put to sleep, cause they did not adopt out pits anymore. Too many of them.. On top of that, this one is a rambunctios nutjob very nippy etc cause of first owner.. I ended up keeping her, or she would have faced that same destiny. Awesome video but you have me bawling!!

Good for you! Rescuing a little pit angel! They are so wonderful in the care of a responsible person. I love my shelter refugees...best dogs ever.

oh my god this is such a sad video. My heart aches for the dogs that lose their lives in the shelters alone and scared.

not that long ago (70's), it was doberman pincers...and rottweillers...pits are just the latest animal to be hated and feared. fewer humans are bitten by pits (that honor goes to smaller dogs like poodles and cocker spaniels if i recall correctly), its just any bite from a square headed dog like pits will be more devastating and damaging.i am truly sorry for dogs whose only crime is cruel human treatment and (over)breeding for fighting.

Breed Specific Legislation doesn't accomplish anything except killing innocent animals who haven't done anything and robbing citizens of their civil liberties and rights. Just ask Denver CO whether or not their 'bite' statistics have changed. What damned morons they are....

This video was very touching, it made me cry. I have a pit, i love him dearly. I feel so terrible for the ones who lost their lives, they deserve another chance like any other breed because really they are no different.

Well said!! People need to be held accountable for the treatment of our animals. I have a pittie and love him, the thought of the ignorance put there, makes me sad. But all I can do is spread the word, NO to BSL, and educate with my well behaved pup!!!

Being a shelter volunteer and a pitbull advocate I knew better than to watch this but I did anyway, takes alot to make me cry, very well done. I try to educate every visitor to the shelter I can about pitbuls. Never had a problem with any of them and I want all dogfighters to be given mandatory 10 year sentences.

I cried the whole time reading it. It really touched me. Made me think about my baby girl when I had to put her up for adopt. In my heart I know she never had it out. I vow to myself I'll never put another pet in the pound again. I just adopted a male pit bull he will never go to the pound no way in hell.

Two years ago I adopted a pit bull that was scheduled to be euthanized and I've  never looked back. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful, loving and loyal companion. Adopting her was one of the best decisions I've ever made!
