  • Shooting one-handed, as required in Bullseye Pistol, the thumb must be kept up. Lots of idiots, many of them Distinguished Pistols, some of the National Champions, shoot this way.

  • This is how not to shoot a 1911 . Why not just put your whole hand through the trigger guard

  • @38super Six more points this last weekend toward my Distinguished Pistol Badge shooting this same gun in the same technique. Working toward being Double Distinguished- I already have my Distinguished Rifle Badge. Only about 1900 Distinguished Rifles in the world- they started giving the award in 1876. Not that many DPs. VERY few Double Distinguished.

  • great trigger method , but why were you shooting one handed?

  • @antitalkingsquash One hand plenty steady. Required in Bullseye pistol matches.

  • @tredub91 Still finger with tight grip. I have to roll it a little to get finger in. You'll notice, of course, that I didn't fire the weapon out of alignment. All Bullseye Pistol is shot one handed at 25 yards and 50 yards. I can hit silhouettes at 100. One handed.

  • @38super Not every shooter will benefit the most from a textbook style shooting technique. Some people do well with a grip that isn't in line with the forearm, some with shooting with the joint instead of the pad of the finger, some people don't like to aim both thumbs straight ahead, and if it works for them than that's what every shooter is trying to accomplish anyway: something that works. There's more than one way to fire a pistol.

  • @antitalkingsquash because its called HAND GUNS not HANDS GUNS

  • proper trigger control would be to pull striaght back no matter how long the pull to recoil ration - if that make any sense - after seeign this video nothing makes sense.

  • nice thumb idiot

  • consider index finger always on front of mag and back of mag to back of magwell when loading. I noticed on your first bring back - no technique. Dont you hate the net with all us bozos with opinions. Pistol badge has absolutly nothing to do with proper gun handling technique.

  • Having a custom made Les Baer 1911 would improve my shooting.

  • @38super What do you mean " Why not just put your whole hand through the trigger guard?' He's gripping the gun as proper as he can while using one hand. In order to do this, you must have a good portion of you finger in the trigger guard to apply stability. Also, he's not being a dumb ass like most shooters you see on YouTube and he's SQUEEZING the trigger not pulling it, for more stability. This ALSO requires more finger on the trigger to be done. I am 15 and i know this.

  • @SLAUGHTERHOUSEENT313 unless of course your wielding a goddamn destert eagle or one of those powerful smith and western hand cannons :P

  • @ModestMagician That's exactly what a professional musician taught me about any musical instrument. I suppose that could apply towards anything. Or in the words of Jackie Chan, "How can I fill your cup if it is already full?"
