@NUHERITAGE Sigh. You call yourself a "salsero" don't you? The basic steps of a dance are the truly defining difference between dances. Yes, all dances are going to have similarities however, there are defining parts to every dance. West Coast is all about fluid motions, connection and musicality. I will agree that he is a little stiff. However, perhaps he has a background in tango. You think you can West Coast? Do it, film it and put it on youtube.

@vision40 I don't watch DWTS. I do club salsa, not ball room. And if u don't know all partner dances share similarities, regardless of the count, u don't know dance. The girl is obviously a trained dancer. The guy: not so much. When he leads a turn, his other arm is kept straight by his side. Another aesthetic 'no, no' of partner dancing in addition to standing n the same spot leading a 1,000 turns.

@NUHERITAGE It looks nothing like cha cha. West Coast is primarily in a 6 count. Cha Cha is in 8. West Coast isn't about "exploring" all four corners of the dance floor. Stop watching Dancing With the Stars.

BORING

Looks like a cha cha to me. Would have been better if they explored all four corners of the floor. They essentially stand in the same spot & do a thousand turns.

I think he's right on. Most male west coast swingers cross the line and look too girly in my opinion. Especially the ones that are any good.

Drool. Drool. Drool.

He is really stiff in his upper body. She totally outperforms him.
