thanks - regarding stereo, i encoded as flash video (.FLV) using ffmpeg for mac os x using a low final bit rate (~300 kpbs) and stereo MP3 audio (22050 bps x 2 ch = 44100 audio bps) - i had to iterate (many small test uploads) to make sure YouTube was keeping the STEREO - go too high total bps & it re-encodes & gives you MONO - go too low and video quality starts to suffer... PC's can use RIVA Flash encoder (i have Mac OS X)... cheers!;-)
