The reason Tim Burton's films are based around Johnny Depp is because Johnny is one of the most amazing actors of this lifetime and Tim wants his movie to be good doesn't he? The key to a successful movie is Johnny Depp, I mean seriously, even his voice narrating is beautiful:)

id have to disagree there, i would think that johnny depps portrayal of willy wonka was a little more intresting and friendly, then gene wilder. But i only say that because when i was a kid gene wilder actually scared me as willy wonka, he came off really weird and freaky, and i didnt like that, but i find johnny depps character, odd, but not in a creepy way.
