ohhhhh....speaking to you reminds what i like least about california....its people. they're generally snobs (especially the central and northern bunch) and officious jerks who ruin the great scenery. sorry if you are form ohio or somewhere else.
um...have you ever herd of Big Sur??? Its in California. Point Lobos or Patricks Point also in California. I still love Oregon but jealous is the wrong word since we both have the same awesome beaches
big sur--yeah, everybody has heard of big sur--that's why it's such a tourist dump. i like desolate or at least beaches and coastline not swarming with humanity. that's why i loveof those the oregon coast and don't care for much of ca's coast...unless it's an aerial photograph in one of those high gloss bargain coffee books proudly displaying the cliched california coast. i don't like blazing hot weather and ultra bright sunlight much either.
then you haven't been to Big Sur...because its not a tourist dump at all. I saw more people on that beach in Oregon than most days at Big Sur. Also we have Mavericks and Ghost Tree which is some of the best surfing on the western seaboard. Its never Hot on the Central coast either. Its as if you have no clue what the hell you are talking about.
you haven't convincingly refuted one thing i've said. i've been to big sur, and driven pch1 and it is always crowded. maybe it's all relative--san diego is far more crowded than big sur; conversely, big sur and environs are far more crowded than the lost coast of california which, in turn, is more crowded than the best known beaches in oregon. who gives a damn about surfing hot spots. the central coast is about as touristy as you can get. the sun is omnipresent and so are the melanomas.
I am not trying to say Oregon is better than California or vice versa. You said "jealous much California" and Im telling you....no. They both have their good points nothing to get jealous over. You obviously have some issues with Cali so what is the point talking to you....ZERO
who doesn't have issues with california if you've lived here for any appreciable time?
don't worry so much what others think of california. you will always think california is the greatest, and i'm not trying to change your mind. enjoy your crowded state of snobdom and inflated prices. and please, stay in california.
i'm telling you oregon is better than california...just an opinion. ultimately, you'll get your way because californians keep pouring into the northwest. more parking lots!
