This is a draft video for a Kenn Borek Air and ALCI presentation for a DROMLAN meeting. It gives a brief overview of the salvage mission for a crash landed DC-3 named Mia. The crash site was at a remote location in Queen Maude Land Antarctica at a height of over 3,300 meters.
This is just what can be acheved when you put the right folks on the job. Well done guys/gals !!!!!!!

@radiopicture You obviously have never flown one, or know what the old Goon does around the world. Not many conventional gear planes of this size anywhere. Flown in and out of McMurdo numerous times in a jet (C-141) and typed with a lot of hours in a DC-3.

Amazing story, but I didn't realize DC-3s (even turbine ones) were worth enough to justify such a salvage operation.
