@Dreamer1196 It was the fiance who murdered Nae. At 2:20, the fiance apologizes for killing her and feeds her the mermaid ash. You will see in Nae's flashback, that she is struggling to get out of someone's grip. Her fiance was holding her down and (accidentally?) killed her.
