Firstly, thankyou for all the kind comments about the video - it's been more popular than I'd thought! It's been a long time since I updated this video and as I'm putting up another one I thought I'd try to answer all the questions I'd been getting here on the description.

---PADDLES:
The paddles are home made, from a synthetic foam rubber type material. It's alot like wetsuit or mousemat material. Unfortunately the website I bought it from ( http://www.cisdirect.co.uk ) seems to have died and disappeared from the web completely.
I used 2 pieces of sticky backed foam;one 5mm thick, the other 3mm thick and inbetween was a wooden dowel held in place by the adhesive. Then some duck/gaffer tape was used to strenthen the area around the dowel. There is about 10cm of foam from the end of the dowel to the end of the paddle. I find it best hitting the pipes with the 5mm side of the paddle down.
There are some pictures of the paddles in this photobucket album:

---PIPES:
The pipes are 40mm in diameter and made out of PVC. In the UK they are known as push fit waste pipes. The length of the pipe (and the width to a small extent) affect the note produced when hit. The pipes are laid out as in the following image:

All of the pipe lengths are detailed there too.

---NOTES:
The blue man group use the E major scae for most of ther music which includes the following notes:

E F# G# A B C# D#

The main riff of the high range part is as follows:

G# C# C# A C# C# G# C# C# A C# C# G# C# G# C# X 2

G# B B F# B B G# B B F# B B G# B G# X 2

D# A A E A A D# A A E A A D# A D# A

D# F# F# E F# F# D# F# F# E F# F# D# F# D# F#
