have a look at your "db_recovery_file_dest" parameter on the database instance. Also issue the "SHOW ALL;" command in RMAN and look for backup location. By default from 10g equals to flash recovery area.

I am new to DBA stuff, I have a question - Dont we need to mention the destination of the backup? Or where can we find these backup files?
