ohmygod i've just been watching yesterdays home and away and they've really screwed up the maths. Charlie is 26 when ruby is 15 in this ep. In the newer eps Ruby turns 16 and all of a sudden charlie is 30 and really Rubys mum.

It happens quite a lot i mean in uk on corrie sophie turned 4 instead of 3

charlie being ruby's mum obviously wasn't the initial plot idea for those two. charlie's age had to be changed for the storyline to be written in else she'd have only been 11 when ruby was born.

They change ages in soaps a lot. At least they do in the states, so it's not that uncommon.
