Really looking forward to 1.2, sound is to overlooked in most games and mods when it is so important in providing atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

What are you guy's doing as far as ambient sound modifiers/morphing? Similar to BFs positional audio system. (Fire a gun outdoors, get alot of echo, fire a gun indoors, not much echo.) Is it possilbe with this system you might be able to implement some of these features? OH and are you going to blank alot of the sound files that exist in the game and replace most of them with the positional sound effects?

@CourtTehJester The first thing you mentioned is a form of dynamic audio post-processing applied by the engine. In x-ray, that is accomplished through Sound Environments, which I have working successfully and am implementing as I type. Expect a vid on this soon enough.
There will be a lot of positional sound sources added, yes. I will probably get rid of the vast majority of randomly-played stereo sound files. Most of them are cheesy, anyway, or play at bad times.

@Daemonion666 Ah, thank you for the reply. Interested in seeing that. :D Another question, are you guys going to change any of the weapon sounds, or are they going to stay stock from 1.1? Either way is quite fine.
