Solar Micro RC Car!!!

A micro RC car with custom body containing a solar array. This car goes and goes in the sun. Never needs recharging! It contains a micro capacitor in place of the battery that gets it through shady spots. High current surplus NASA solar cells provide twice the power output of the original battery. Cool fun in the hot sun!

how do u connect solar cells with capacitor?

@kiwipool00 Just connect the solar array pos. to capacitor pos. and neg. to neg. Then run neg to neg side of RC circuit board and pos to pos. Same place as the battery in the car once hooked up. It's that simple. You basically unhook the car's internal rechargeable battery, replace it with the cap and hook the cap, solar array, and car all together pos to pos and neg to neg.

how long will this run in the shade? i noticed a 1F cap on it.

@cheetawolf It will run for about 10 seconds in full shade. Just enough time to get back into the sun.

hey man where did you get those nasa solar cells?

@dindogallardo I got them from a friend who knew a guy that knew a guy that worked on a cancelled satellite program. The cells were surplused and handed down to me. But, you can buy the same thing online if you search for super solar cells.
