Basic things to show Saddle Seat! This is just basics. There is way to much to even list when you show Saddle Seat!
You need:
A cutback saddle! You want it to be four inches larger than your usual english saddle size. Black is elegent, but brown is the traditional color! You want a good quality saddle made in england, cause it can lead to a bad back for your horse.
A double or full bridle. The typical color for the browband is red. See your show rules, cause it depends on what circuit you show in.
A coat. You want conservative colors. You can piece your suit together, but it is best to buy the suit all together.
A dress shirt.
A show vest.
A show tie.
Jodphurs (I love em they make you feel so well...legendary.)
A derby! The coolest looking hat ever! you want it to match ur suit.
Gloves! Light weight leather is the most comfortable.
Jodphur boots!
You can do Saddle Seat on a number of breeds starting with:
The Saddlebred.
The Arabian.
The Morgan.
The National Show Horse (i used pics of my horse I wish I could have found ones of me riding, but there on my other computer. His name is Will E!
The Freisen!
The Tennessee Walker.
And Many Many More!!!

I subbed :) Thanks for the info on saddle seat, can you send me a message about more of the equiatiation. I'm starting to show saddle seat in April and need as much help as possible,my horse is Rocky Mountain and Quarter Horse cross but he has a high step to him. Hey um nice vid i can say some thing i would habe said more about like what makes saddle seat different from hunt and y is is different and describe what stuff is and what makes a saddle seat horse different from any other horse and yes i ride saddle seat and i was taught to ride saddle seat I LOVE IT LOL

Cool video! I wish you had video of girls/guys riding Saddle Seat. I ride it, check out my vids please. I ride academy shows right now, but hope to go into Park Pleasure soon :)
