Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Trailer

Normally I wouldn't have bothered making a trailer for AC since it's already a movie, but then I stumbled upon the official one (you know, "Jenova. Geostigma. Lifestream.") and it was so awful that I thought I'd challenge myself to see if I couldn't do a little better. Let me know if I succeeded.
I thought it would probably be most appropriate to use actual FFVII music. The voice clips are in Japanese because really, the English voice actors are painful to listen to. I'm not so happy about the subs as having two texts ongoing at the same time is distracting, but there doesn't seem much solution otherwise. Credit for the subs goes to Hiro-Subs. I still don't know what to do about those black squares that appear occasionally.

"The Promised Land" and "Those Who Fight (FFVII AC Version)" belong to Nobuo Uematsu. Clips from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children belong to Square-Enix.

I agree, the real English trailer was so painful i thought it was a joke-fan made one at first!

But i quite liked the english acotrs, though the japanese ones were better.

I felt that some of the english actors were better than others, but some of the major characters I just didn't like (Cloud and Tifa in particular) so I tend to prefer the Japanese version (as much as I adore Cid's accent in english).

Yeah. You might be able to find similar stuff for Vista too, I just know that it's different coding.

O_O! oh, you mean it's from that thing you mentioned in other video, that had the "dream-ish" effect? is it one of those extra effects you can add to WMM? T_T well, you made a very good job with it ^_^

I think you said you have Vista, though, right? Because the coding for .xml files for that Movie Maker version is different, otherwise I'd explain how to get it, but it only works for XP that I know.

I once downloaded a Sony Vegas trailer version, and although I could barely use it (because my computer is wierd :P), I like it. I mean, just look the world of possibilities you have with it. But yeah I mean in trailers, you can't do much thing :S but in AMV's, you can :')

Thanks :), although I'm a little confused about what you mean with the clips and all.

The music transition was something I agonized over but there didn't seem to be a very natural way to get what I wanted.

Interestingly enough I downloaded a trial of Vegas and found I really didn't like it so much. All the effects and extra tracks and such were great but it was so unintuitive to use. :S

it's very good, although I think you might have done the transition of musics in a different way ^_^ make more AC trailers, please! XD I want to see more of your work with them ^_^!

T_T I also want Advent Children...... I want to make videos T_T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!! (and I want Sony Vegas as well :P)
