Hope you enjoy our little tribute to the Big Red Machine. I was going though some old videos and found the seeds for this little jem of a video. If we get a big enough responce to this video maybe we will make another describing the dismantling of the Big Red Machine. As always thanks for watching!!

  • Those pitching staffs were VERYVERY solid, don't forget the relievers back then threw at least 2 or 3 innings, not 2 or 3 outs like today. 1976 staff that swept the Yanks all could have started but Bourbon. No such thing as a "CLOSER" back then.

  • @spo36 Thanks fore coming out and visiting the ol' channel!! Yore right the role of the closer was just beginning to be recognized with the advent of the ol' ROLAIDS reliever of the year award!! Ahh...a great time to be alive! Thanks again fore coming out. Live Long and Prosper!!!

  • One of the biggest the mysteries to me is how those young pitchers all disappeared after 1976. Gullett, Eastwick, McEnaney, Gary Nolan, Pat Darcy, Santo Alcala, Manny Sarmiento, and others. Jack Billingham, Pedro Bourbon, and Fred Norman played the course.

  • @Ariamaluum Thanks fore coming out and the visit. Maybe you just gave me a good IDEA of the next sports video I should make! Thanks again Live Long and Prosper!!!
