Parts of my performance (I cut out the start because of the man dancing in the front area, which is entitled to do, I was so happy to see him enjoying himself and the music). This was a wonderful audience!! Great event!!! They also broke the world record for biggest drum circle! WAY TO GO BARRIE DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE!
LOL yes I forgot to take my hair clip out before getting on stage. Probably because the wonderful stage manager was very concerned for me since it was so hot and humid out and wanted to make sure that I had water with me, and to only dance on the front 4 squares of the stage, because it was uneven and had a metal lip to the one side and he didn't want me to hurt myself (lol I was trying so hard while dancing to stay aware of that). Really lovely man. All the volunteers, organizers, staff and audience were lovely at this event. Was really happy to be a part of it. I had such a great time. I am also learning that balancing training and showing my horse and dancing and performing is incredibly hard. I was at a horse show all day the day before this performance. It took me about 2 days to fully recover from the dehydration after. Crazy!!
The music is "Amir' by Amir Sofi, "El genneya" by Hossam Ramzy, and "Hot hot hot" by Buster Poindexter".

OH notice in he first song my music skipped ahead like a minute, I made the funniest "what just happened face" over at the DJ. Weird, I tested the CD several times and didn't have any issues. Ah well, such is life!

  • My favorite part, is when you danced with the woman, then the man, and then finally the child, as if to say that the joy of dancing connects everyone :)

  • @RainGoesPitterPatter thank you:) It is one of my favourites as well. I feel that dance is "by the people, for the people". I am always happy to see all varieties of people getting involved and having fun:)

  • This is awesome! and thank you for sharing your music!

  • @msiders1979 THank you:) And yes I always share the music. it is Important that the musicians get credit and that dancers support them:) All of the songs I used can be found on itunes and the cds they are on are great!

  • Wow, very nice! I think that was my favorite performance by you. You've really improved!

  • @yameyameyame LOL then that is a fluke. I haven't been practicing at all this summer, I've been so preoccupied with the farm/busy with my horse. Maybe taking such a break from dancing made me come at it more "fresh"?
