ASCN died over two years ago. And in doing so proved that a large number of largely PvE orientated pilots cannot take on a much smaller force of PvPers

Both BOB and AAA had large industrial bases most of which where not officially part of their alliances. The real deciding factor was the length of the conflict, the masses scale of logistics required to fight extended system control battles with POSs, and the unplayable lag due to large numbers on both sides.
