The rendition for two pianos is just breathtaking just as if the Poème de L'Extase had been written this way !

sexy? my ass is sexy

Sin demeritar la calidad de la interpretación, creo que el Poème de l'extase pierde mucho sin la orquesta.

This is just superb. They've kept the delicacy yet rounded and enhanced this piece immeasurably. I really like this transcript!

The trumpet is not necessarily so,I think.

Ilona Prunyi + Sandor Falvay (Naxos) play the transcription of Lev Konyus, without trumpet. I don´t dare to decide which transcription is better, but I made the experience on the piano some melodies in the discant, when fff is demanded by the composer, want wo be be supported by a trumpet at all! Horowitz always "cristallin" there, had his special method threaten everybody, hiding his especial flicknife.

@enanotodo I guess if Alexander Toradze says you play it on two pianos, you play it on two pianos.
This piece is so sexy.

this music has such an uncanny ability to conjure images for me-- not synesthesiatic, but just images of dark Russian rooms in the city, with moonlight diffusing in through red oriental curtains.... blah blah. but this stuff isnt shit, DoktorNgKepiyas, this stuff is THE SHIT
