http://www.CollegeExamTutor.com When you're studying for the ACT test, you are taking valuable time away from a million other things -- things that you'd probably rather be doing. But, you study because you don't want to get an average ACT score. So how do you maximize your study time to work smart and still get a high ACT score.

Anytime you can DO something, you will remember a lot more than if you just learned it in class. The best way to DO something is to teach it -- to explain it. When you explain something, you really cement it into your brain because you are actively involved in DOING it, not just reading about it or hearing it.

So how do you teach something if you're not a teacher and don't have a class of students? Well, this increased retention of information doesn't just happen when you are formally teaching, but also just reviewing information with friends in a study group.
So if you're at the coffee shop explaining something to a friend or just quizzing each other, you are going to remember a LOT more than if you just read it or heard it.

Remember, we learn much better if we hear, see and DO something. And by learn, I mean RETAIN. Learning doesn't do you any good if you don't retain it until the day you take the ACT test!

That is the best kind of ACT Preparation: working SMART!
