Mingus Mountain - Chino Valley - Ash Fork

A longish video capturing some of the fun at the MingFling Hang Gliding and Paragliding event at Mingus Mountain. Launched at 12:30 on Sept 4, rode the thermals up to all my friends and worked our way over the back. Chandler had to throw a reserve due to an unrecoverable wing, Andrew landed out with him and all ended well, no one hurt. I was at 12,500 with a wide open world in front of me. I knew I could make Chino, then the climbs just kept coming. North up Hwy 89 I kept finding the climbs and getting closer to I-40. Not long before my chase crew called on the radio in Ash Fork saying they see me and that they were having a beverage in a local watering hole. What an amazing day! 50 miles from Mingus to Ash Fork.

Love it baby! Love the songs and how you capture the essence of what it would feel like for someone like me, who's usually watching from the ground. Congrats on your Xc too! Glad that Chandler was okay and that everyone had fun. III
